Shri Pentayya Polagani did his graduation and post-graduation in Electrical Engineering from Andhra University, Vishakhapatnam, India. He has around two years of teaching experience and 33 years of experience in Power System Operation in Central Electricity Authority, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd and Power System Operation Corporation Ltd. He was head of two Regional Load Dispatch Centers – ERLDC and WRLDC from Feb’10 to Feb’14 and presently retired from service. He has vast experience in Power System Operation, Power System studies, protection, commercial and market operations. He contributed immensely for establishment and effective running of inter-state ABT mechanism, Open Access, point of connection transmission pricing mechanism, power market development and Renewable Integration in India. He was trained in NGC, UK and holds certificates in Power System Operation (Basic) & Regulatory Affairs (Specialist). He did consultancy work for transmission planning of Goa, Integration of Sugen Power Station, and implementation of Intra-state ABT in Gujarat and Road map for intra-state ABT for Maharashtra. He has published more than 100 no’s technical papers in various national and international seminars .He is member of IEEE working group on STATE ESTIMATION. He is presently on the board of DNHPDCL as independent director and also delivering lectures at PSTI, NPTI ,ASCI, REMI,IIM-A in India and abroad as well in several countries.
